Andrea Simandi Appointed Regulatory Lead in Microsoft’s EMEA Legal Affairs Team

Andrea Simandi has started a new role as Regulatory Lead in the EMEA Legal Affairs team of Microsoft, where she will focus on navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.

Simandi has been with the organization for over 13 years, joining in 2012 as Legal and Corporate Affairs Director for Hungary – a position she held until 2017. Between 2017 and 2020, she worked as European Data Protection Attorney (as reported by CEE In-House Matters on March 14, 2017). Then, Simandi worked as Regional Legal Lead for SME and Readiness, Microsoft between 2020 and 2025.

Prior to Microsoft, Simandi was a Partner at Simandi Law Firm between 2005 and 2008.

Between 2000 and 2005, she worked as Head of ITC and IP (Hungary) at Linklaters.

Simandi started her legal career as a Legal Assistant at the Hungarian Office of Shearman & Sterling in 1996. She then spent two years as a Trainee at Bogsch & Partners Law Firm between 1998 and 2000.
