Energy company Uludag Enerji has hired Gokce Turkoglu in the role of Head of Legal and Compliance.
Turkoglu remains a Partner at Pelister Keki Sarac & Co – a role she has had since 2024.
Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Category and Privacy Counsel (Contractor) at Unilever between 2022 and 2023, Global Category and Privacy Counsel (Contractor) at Reckitt between 2020 and 2021, Legal and Compliance Lead (Contractor) at Reckitt between 2019 and 2020, and General Counsel, Data Privacy Officer & Corporate Secretary at Deloitte Turkey between 2017 and 2019.
Earlier, she spent more than eight years at Marsh as the Legal Compliance & Public Relations Director, VP between 2009 and 2017, and the company’s Head of Legal and Compliance, VP between 2011 and 2017.
Earlier still, Turkoglu worked as a Legal Counsel at Carrefour between 2005 and 2009 and Legal Counsel at Turkcell between 2003 and 2005.
“While the company continues its growth in the distribution and retail sectors with digitalization and customer-focused transformation projects, it continues to manage legal, data privacy, and compliance processes as an important part of its corporate structure,” commented Uludag Enerji. “The aim is to further strengthen the role of the Legal and Compliance Department in the company’s strategic decision-making processes. Gokce Turkoglu, who has been appointed to the position, stands out as an expert in various fields, including data protection, competition law, corporate governance, and ESG, with her experience gained in international companies.”
