Agnieszka Obrycka Joins Qemetica as Group Compliance Officer

Qemetica has hired Agnieszka Obrycka as the Group Compliance Officer – Regulatory & Compliance.

Prior to joining the Polish chemical company, Obrycka spent more than six years at Orlen, first as an Attorney-at-Law, Project Manager – Regulatory between 2019 and 2024, then as an Attorney-at-Law, Project Manager – Alternative Fuels and Petrochemicals Market Regulation between 2024 and 2026.

Earlier still, she worked as an Associate at Greenberg Traurig between 2018 and 2019.

Obrycka’s job experience includes working as an Advocate, M&A In-House Counsel at PKP Cargo between 2015 and 2018, and Associate between 2012 and 2016 and Trainee in 2012 at CMS Cameron McKenna.

“Stepping into the role of Group Compliance Officer at Qemetica offers a uniquely compelling professional challenge – one that draws directly on the breadth of my transactional background and my experience within regulatory and compliance functions,” commented Obrycka. “Having spent years advising on complex transactions and capital markets matters, I have had the opportunity to understand diverse businesses from the inside: how they operate, how they grow, and where the real risks and opportunities lie. This perspective is invaluable in a modern compliance environment, where the function is no longer purely reactive but plays a strategic role in supporting responsible and sustainable business development.”

“What makes this role at Qemetica particularly exciting is the Group’s dynamic transformation into a global organization with assets across multiple jurisdictions, including recently acquired operations in the United States,” she added. “Leading Compliance and Regulatory in such a fast‑evolving environment means upholding strong integrity standards while enabling safe, efficient global innovation.”
