Former KPMG Legal Romania Partner and Head of Technology, IP, and Data Privacy Cristiana Fernbach has joined Amber as General Counsel.

Fernbach had been with KPMG Legal since 2019 when her eponymous firm Fernbach & Partners merged with the Big 4 affiliated firm (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on October 19, 2019). She established her technology boutique earlier that year (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on March 5, 2019). Prior to launching her new firm, Fernbach was a Partner and the Co-Head of the TMT practice at Stratulat Albulescu, a role she was promoted to in 2018 (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on April 24, 2018). Before Stratulat Albulescu, she worked for Noerr as Senior Associate, Coordinator IP & Technology Practice for Romania.

"The incredibly exciting years as a Partner in one of the Big 4 associated law firms and the previous long term experience as a specialized lawyer on tech law and founding partner of a boutique digital and IP law firm, exposed me to a great extent to the challenges and opportunities that such a dynamic industry like gaming is facing in an international context," commented Fernbach. "I am thrilled to join a talented and innovative team and to be part of such an amazing ride like the one Amber embarked on and contributing with my business oriented mindset and proactive and innovative approach in shaping the future of the legal services of the company, to further Amber’s vision and mission."
