Clementina Canel has joined Fepra International as Head of Legal in Romania.

Canel began her career in 2006, as a Police Officer in Bucharest. After three years and seven months on the force, she joined Enescu, Panait, Pop, and Associates as a lawyer, where she spent the next 11 months. Canel continued practicing law at Vilau & Mitel, between November 2010 and June 2011, when she joined Engie. Canel was Senior In-house Lawyer at Engie for almost five years and then Legal Manager for another four. Between January and October 2020, she was Head of Legal and Compliance at the HS Timber Group. Finally, Canel was Advisor for legal projects at the Veolia Group, from November 2020 until March the following year.

"I joined the Fepra team with openness and optimism, looking forward to bring my various experience and knowledge in order to actively contribute to the development of the waste management industry from a thought leadership position, at national and, in a short time, regional level," commented Canel. "I believe in collaboration and communication, professionalism, creativity, and innovation. I am a strong advocate of teamwork as a way of bringing people together, encouraging diversity and empowerment in order to reach the maximum potential of its members. My goal is to provide top legal support in respect to the requirements of the business, in order to protect both the company and our people from the risks that may arise from the current activity and legislative changes. The legislative environment is a dynamic one and we must all be correctly and on-time informed, to be trusted partners for our customers and our suppliers. I believe in a proactive and innovative approach to legal issues."
